How to Prepare for Your Plasmage Treatment
If you’re scheduled for a Plasmage treatment at Luminate Clinic, first—congratulations on taking the next step toward smoother, tighter skin! Plasmage is one of my favorite treatments for fine lines, hooded lids, wrinkles, and even stubborn skin laxity. But like any treatment, prepping your skin the right way makes all the difference in your results and healing.
🛑 Here’s what NOT to do before your Plasmage treatment:
- No alcohol-based skincare products for 3 days before your appointment (think: toners, astringents, or harsh acne treatments).
- No false lashes if we’re treating around the eyes—these are a fire and infection hazard during treatment.
- No sunburn, open wounds, or active skin infections in the area to be treated.
- No retinols, exfoliants, or harsh acids for at least 3 days prior.
✅ Here’s how to prep your skin for success:
1. Clean, calm skin is best.
Please come to your appointment with clean, makeup-free skin. No lotions, oils, or sunscreen on the area. We’ll prep your skin again at the clinic, but starting fresh is key.
2. Start Detoxing the Skin with Exosomes.
We’ll send you home with our DETOX Exosomes, which we recommend using for 7 days prior to your treatment. This helps calm inflammation and prep your skin for healing and regeneration.
3. Boost circulation and hydration with an exfoliating facial.
We love to pair a gentle AquaFirme facial the week before Plasmage to:
- Exfoliate dead skin (so the laser energy penetrates better).
- Hydrate and oxygenate the skin.
- Stimulate healthy blood flow, prepping your skin from the inside out.
This is also a great time to pick up your exosome serum and start prepping your skin at home.
🔑 Bottom line:
Proper prep equals smoother results and faster healing. Don’t skip this part of the process—it’s what makes our results different from other clinics.
